Our Melbourne office is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist to join the team. In this role you will complement our consulting group so that projects continue to run efficiently and effectively, thus ultimately maintaining clients’ satisfaction.
Some of the practical geotechnical activities in the field include (but are not limited to):
Supervise and manage geotechnical site investigations;
Organise and supervise field investigation works, manage a variety of subcontractors (such as drilling rigs, CPT rigs, service locators, etc), and be responsible of the successful completion of the work within allotted timeframes and budgets;
Use QGIS, Slope W, Circly and other specialised software to analysis projects and determine solutions;
Adhere to relevant Work Health and Safety requirements;
Prepare proposals by scoping investigations to target project outcomes and client requirements;
Engage in technical report writing.
Given the variety of project work available throughout the year, there is a mix of field work and office-based time.
